- From the Fire TV home screen, open Find or Search.
- Enter the exact player name.

Sideload an official APK on Fire OS
- Confirm that the device runs Fire OS, not Vega OS.
- Install the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore.
- Open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. If Developer Options is hidden, open About, highlight the device name and press the Select button seven times.
- Open Install Unknown Apps and allow Downloader only.
- Use Downloader to open the app developer's official website. Avoid unofficial file hosts and random download codes.
- Download and install the developer-provided Fire TV or Android APK.
- Delete the installer file after installation and turn off Downloader's unknown-app permission again.
Do not sideload cracked, modified or repackaged players. Never enter private account credentials into an app obtained from an unverified source.
Vega OS: Android APK sideloading instructions are not the correct consumer route. Use a compatible app available through Amazon's ecosystem and verify support for the exact device.
Step 4A — account login
How to set up Xtream Codes-compatible login on Firestick
Choose this method when the service supplied a server or portal URL, username and password. App labels vary, but the option is commonly called Xtream Codes API, XC login, Login with Xtream Codes or API login.
- Open the player and add a user or playlist.Select the Xtream or API-style login rather than M3U.
- Enter a profile name.This can be any recognisable label, such as Live Sports IPTV.
- Enter the server URL exactly.Include the supplied

Step 4B — playlist login
How to add an M3U playlist and XMLTV EPG on Fire TV
Choose M3U when you received one complete playlist URL. A separate EPG or XMLTV address is optional unless the service supplied one or the player asks for it.
Add the playlist
Choose M3U, remote playlist, playlist URL or a similarly named option. Paste the complete M3U or M3U Plus address without shortening, converting or removing any parameters.
Allow the first refresh
Save the playlist and wait for groups, channels and VOD categories to finish loading before closing the app or assuming the playlist has failed.
Add the EPG only when required
Open the EPG or programme-guide settings and paste the separate XMLTV URL. Do not place an EPG URL in the playlist field.
Refresh and check the time
Run a playlist and EPG refresh, then confirm the Fire TV date, time and time zone are automatic. Use an EPG time offset only when the guide remains consistently shifted.
EPG missing but channels work? The playlist and guide are separate data sources. Refresh the EPG, clear only the EPG cache where available and verify the XMLTV address before deleting a working playlist.
Step 5 — optimise for live viewing

A speed test alone cannot confirm stable live streaming. Fire TV performance also depends on Wi-Fi signal, packet loss, storage, decoder compatibility, account limits and the route between the ISP and stream source.
Prioritise a stable connection
- Use Ethernet through a compatible adapter where practical.
- Test both Wi-Fi bands and move the stick away from the back of the television with the supplied HDMI extender when signal is weak.
- Pause large downloads and other high-bandwidth activity.
- Test the same stream through a mobile hotspot or another ISP to identify a home-network or routing difference.
